First Day of School!

First Day of School 2014

Parker loooves school and was so excited to start!  I was so grateful that he had landed a really great teacher, Mrs. Gardner, and she really has turned out to be so awesome! It was pouring rain that morning... & I was definitely waaay more nervous than he was that day! Not for any great reason except that like any parent I just wanted him to be in a great class where he could really thrive this year. And he is! So thankful! He has loved this year so far and has really great kids in his class!! Some of his favorite friends in there are Kedric, Josh, & Britton. He loves to play four square at recess (& is obsessed with bringing his own ball from home for it) and trading Pokemon cards. It's a thing around here. :)

Kindergarten started a week later....

And this Little Miss set off like she was ready to conquer the world. She was soooo confident, even though she knew absolutely no one that would be in her class. That sort of thing doesn't phase Miss Independent and she easily makes new friends. She goes in the afternoons and it works out perfect for us since Chris often doesn't go to work until 1. This way, he gets to spend more time with her. Emmie got a brand new teacher (to this school anyway), Mrs. Reckling, and she too has turned out great! Emmie is loving school and has made some really cute little friends in her class. Ashley, Alex, and Brielle are a few of her besties in there. I was able to help out on Fridays for the first two months of the school year before having Ty, and it was so fun getting to know the kids in her class and she even seemed to really like having me there. :) That probably won't last forever and so I try and soak up these days of my kids not being embarrassed of me yet. :)

So glad to live down the street from an awesome school & so grateful these two are having awesome experiences this year!!!
